The Paladin is very balanced, and has good attack and defense. He also has a lot of skills used primarily in control situations, which makes him quite effective in dungeons.
The Warlord has great level capability considering how much damage he can put out. Unfortunately, this comes with minimal ability to heal, which makes him a bad choice for dungeons. With a good support in PvP, he's extremely effective.
The Treasure Hunter is very fast and slippery, allowing for decent leveling and ok PvP when partnered with a tank. In terms of dungeons, the Treasure Hunter is better than you may think - though he has low health and middling attack, his ability to run means kiting is made much easier.
Having high damage is great for the Sorcerer who is trying to level and work in dungeons, but in PvP, the Sorcerer is going to be a prime target. While the Sorcerer can be useful in PvP situations, the requirements for both a tank and a healer make it hard to justify as a main.
Bishop is fundamentally a support class. His attack isn't anything to write home about, which also makes leveling through grinding a chore, but when used in Fortress Siege, a Bishop can almost be the most important unit in the game.
The Temple Knight has the ability to delay or negate a lot of damage. While this is great in PvP, it's pretty useless in leveling and dungeons, which makes it hard to justify for either.
The Swordsinger is great for dungeons and leveling because of its relatively high damage and balanced abilities, but suffers in 1v1 PvP battles by being only middling in both as compared to other classes.
Though the Plains Walkers have lower armor ratings, and thus suffer in many combat situations, their fast and heavy damage dealing and their ability to buff and debuff make them excellent in dungeons and PvP.
High range and high attack means that the Silver Ranger is perfect for grinding, but a total lack of control skills means that it suffers in PvP and dungeons alike.
Very slow to level, the Spellsinger does excel in Area of Effect attacks, which means area denial of control and crowd management in dungeons and PvP are some of the best.
Slow to level, easy to kill, the Elder nonetheless is extremely useful as a support healer during PvP, and should be placed in this role as often as possible.
Very high damage and HP make the Shillien Knight great for leveling and PvP, though their lack of healing makes them hard to utilize in dungeons without having the proper group set up in advance.
A "jack of all trades" style class, the Blade Dancer requires even more attentive play than the Abyss Walker. While it's very powerful, it requires a lot of attention and skill to leverage properly.
The Abyss Walker deals a lot of damage in a very short time, but due to low health, it requires a much more attentive and item-centric playstyle that many players might find tiresome or difficult.
The Phantom Ranger deals heavy piercing damage, which helps a lot in dungeons. Unfortunately, this also means that the Phantom Ranger has to be relatively exposed, and with its low health, can be taken out in PvP rather quickly.
The Shillien Elder is easy to kill and slow to level, but by using offensive magic to drain the HP from their enemies to heal their allies, they serve as both support and a middling damage dealer.
Slow to level, but extremely fast, the Scavenger may not deal a ton of damage, but can claim objectives and harass other players and mobs like no other class.
Healing and low damage but the ability to buff and survive makes the Sage great for PvP and dungeons, but makes for slower leveling.
Optimal Weapon Types for Classes in Lineage 2 Revolution[]
Broadly speaking, there are certain weapon types that generally do better for each specific class. These optimal types should be chosen over any other, as they are generally reserved for those classes in question.
